Terms of Use
Last Updated: June 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TheGoodRoster and its tools, content, and services (collectively, the "Site"), operated by TheGoodRoster ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Educational Service — Not Professional Advice
The Site is an educational resource for prospective first-time homebuyers in San Diego County. We are not a lender, mortgage broker, real estate agent, or financial, legal, or tax advisor, and we do not originate loans. All content, calculators, and tools are provided for general informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Figures and program details are estimates that change over time and may not reflect your specific situation. Always confirm details with a licensed professional before making any decision.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Site. By using the Site you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. AI Assistant
The Site may offer an automated chat assistant. Its responses are generated from our published educational content and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The assistant does not provide personalized financial, legal, or tax advice, does not quote rates, and is not a substitute for a licensed professional. Do not share sensitive financial-account or government-ID numbers in the chat.
4. Connecting With Mortgage Professionals
The Site lets you choose to share your contact information with a licensed mortgage professional you select. Those professionals are independent third parties; we do not employ them, control their services, or guarantee any outcome, rate, approval, or result. Listing a professional is not an endorsement. Any relationship you form with a professional is solely between you and that professional. For details on how your information is handled, see our Privacy Policy, and for our relationship with listed professionals, see our Disclaimers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or another person's information;
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems;
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, design, and trademarks are owned by TheGoodRoster or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You may view and use the content for your personal, non-commercial use only; all other use requires our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to third-party websites and resources we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and including a link does not imply endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information is complete or current.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheGoodRoster and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or from any interaction with a third-party professional, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TheGoodRoster and its operators from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
